Don't understand the logic here and claims of discincentivising voters does seem to be the main aim.

Boris voted against ID cards 12 times so it's not that he's a fan of them.

I’m all for it. Make it compulsory to carry one too. Soon sort out all the illegals over here.

It is NOT an ID card.

They try regularly to get us on side with this one & maybe one day they will win.
 
I thought 'they' sent everybody an 'ID card' before elections - although you do not have to take it to the polling station, but you could have to.
 
There is negligible voting fraud...

But the herd are easily convinced of an 'epidemic' of fraudulent voting without any proof, and are happy to surrender their rights and accept control over yet another aspect of their lives...

No doubt there will be a phrase soon concocted for those who don't wish to carry ID once it becomes compulsory...

'Papiere bitte' will be soon upon us!
 
I didn’t mention illegal immigrants. All I said was I’m perfectly happy to have one.
