Why are you such a fan of vokera?

Oh, I work for them as well as being a fan but I just answer questions, don't try to convince.

Well at the moment we have a flexicom 30cx located in the loft servicing 8 radiators. The kitchen one though is a large fancy one. The new boiler will be fitted in the airing cupboard not the loft. So is the one muggles suggested the one you would recommend also?

I think you were looking at the 35kW Pinnacle, that's fine if you have the cold supply to use 35kW or like water hotter than necessary but otherwise choose a lower output, 25 or 30kW. Don't worry about heating output as you know they modulate lower than almost everything on the market. I'd also enable smart preheat if you go Vokèra, all our boilers have it and it uses heat already in the system.

Thanks for the info. Think the 30kw should be fine as that's what we have presently. We used to have a glowworm compact 80p which was 25kw and it wasn't enough.

Why are you such a fan of vokera?

I think they're excellently designed and built boilers at a very reasonable price, with plenty of parameters available so that they can be set up properly to work on the system they're attached to. Their tech support, particularly from Vulcancontinental, is excellent too

Also a good brand (I'm a Vaillant MasterTech installer) but doesn't quite fit the OP's budget

Have been reading up on vokera, is the pinnacle a major improvement for them, couldnt find many reciews of it. I was a little concerned over some of their past reviews of boilers and customer service.

Yes it's a great leap forwards for them. It was released in July this year so you won't find many reviews yet

baxi platinium compact 10 year warranty been out about 8 years as the baxi 6/800 very proven reliable boiler around 1200 quid far better boiler than a vogue.
Fitted about 60 of them over the 8 years in one form or another only had to call baxi out twice in all that time.

Thanks gas112. Did think about a baxi 630 about a year ago. Will take a look at the platinum..
