Ideal Classic 250FF Firing on and off

Ive got a Ideal Classic ff250 boiler and when i switch timer on boiler fires for about 5-10 seconds then goes off and then repeats.
Whats my problem?

Problem is you need a gas engineer, should be able to diagnose / repair in an hour.

Not by any chance had work done to house electrics in past couple of days and polarity been reversed
