Ideal Classic FF250 Gas Boiler - Solenoid Clicking

Not that type, but the last GV I replaced on a Classic a few weeks ago came with the cork gasket.

On that one there was a small design fault. The gasket face on the boiler side had four small spacing lugs around the outside of the gasket. The effect of that is to limit the pressure that can be applied to the gasket. So if its a bit compressed then it cannot be tightened beyond the thickness of those lugs.

What was the resistance on the solenoids?

1.532 on the black barrel shaped solenoid.....

That's about spot on for the pilot solenoid (k ohms) but guessing that one stayed alight?, the main is about 5k ohms but not available as a separate item to the gas valve.

You sure? Honeywell 240v soft lite main solenoid will fit. 4 screws and a new gasket.

Not 100% but I have never seen the main solenoid available as a seperate item myself.
