Ideas to stop a dog, but allow cats in?

Hello

Quick history
I am autistic and disabled, spinal damage, to ankles with broken, trapped and bone slicing through my nerves, ligaments and tendons.
I have cats, quite a few to be honest, and I leave my door open, with a few bowls of dry and water, so I don’t have to keep getting up, going downstairs to feed my cats and increasing my pain levels doing so.
My sister adopted a dog who was on the streets a few years ago, and she often comes over with my niece for a stay over, or just a quick visit. I still live with my mum, and my sister who is a paramedic will pop by whenever and sleep overs happen especially on school breaks.

Problem

My cats have their dry food on the floor in my bedroom, as I keep my door open enough for the cats to come and go, but should give me as much privacy as possible. This is where my sisters dog comes in, she can obviously smell the cat food, and she will come in my room, nothing stopping her and eats everything she can. I have made a door stop wedge that I have to put on the inside to stop the dog from entering, problem is it stops me from getting into my room when pain is bad, and needing to rest. I have to sit on the floor to set up the door wedge and dismantle it.

I have made a quick sketch so you can hopefully see how my room is setup, and if you can help me stop the dog from eating my cats food.

Why can’t I pick up the food of the floor? It means I have to sit on the floor picking up each biscuit.
Why not have the food on my shelves? I don’t like the smell of the food, I have my window open 24/7 every day of the year, I need fresh air and not smell try food, or allow my cats to jump and knock of items on my shelf.
Why not let the dog eat the leftovers? Well, the food isn’t the cheap stuff, I get them the best I can, and the dog is allergic to something… we don’t know if it’s something added to the cat food, or if it’s any wheat added.

You could perhaps fasten a cabin hook to the doorframe, and a screw eye to the door, to hold it, say, three inches open. It would only take you a moment to lift the hook to go through. The hook goes on the frame so it does not rattle.

I'm also thinking you could have a pet-gate faced with coarse carpet, which a cat can easily climb over to get in and out, or jump if young and agile..

Example

There is also a kind of bolt you can use to hold a door partly open, you fix and release it by pressing the top with your foot. It does not bolt into a hole, it has a rubber foot that presses on the floor. I don't know its proper name.

Make a cat feeder.
Perspex off eBay and broom pole.
No bending down or getting on the floor. I made it when my wife had an operation a few years ago and had mobility problems.
We can lift up on table to load with food and water and so can you when dogs arrive.

Just a quick video.

Sorry mate, sounds grim.

My brother has a cat food dispenser that uses the rfid chip in the cat to open the lid. I would imagine that they will accept more than one chip per "station". If so, the dog will not be able to access the food, and will, hopefully give up trying to.

Feed the cat elsewhere on a shelf where dog can’t reach .
Or feed you cat twice a day when dogs not there .
