Yikes, was fitting new pod shower this evening and snapped the shower connection, looked everywhere for a replacement but can’t seem to source one, I don’t even know what its called, nylon bsp elbow fits to rear of shower plate behind the cubicle. Any help or advice really really appreciated.
Regards Otto

last time oi tried to fix something like that i ended up in a hydraulic hose fitters/shop and they had just the bit in plastic, and also new hose to fit, as the original hose burst under teh pressure / heat of the hot water.
Is tis a panel shower, far flung from our oriental friends?

Yes, it is an import, cubicle shower enclosure with the LED lighting an radio, telephone answer function and the lark, it really is a cheapo quality thing, the washing machine angle was interesting, could I get the machine end fitting to fit a half inch BSP?

if you have room behind cubicle then try this, a bit long winded but may work:
female 1/2 inch copper to iron end feed fitting , solder 15mm street elbow in , then reduce 15mm elbow to 10mm with a reducer, then attach hose with jubilee and a bit of lsx for good measure. if 10mm too small add 10mm olive to pipe and put hose over that with jubilee attached.

Had a similar problem fitting our shower. Went back to the store where we bought it and they sourced a replacement. Interesting that the replacement was in metal, not plastic like the original, so I assume we weren't the only ones to have this problem.

The hose goes from the central mixing block, which is made from brass and diverts the flow between the shower monsoon head, the shower spray and the water jets, so this hose is just one of three, the hot & cold water also connect to the block via tap connector braided hose. I looked everywhere for the part to no avail, the closest I got to it was a marine fitting website, anyway I did sort it in the end, the pipe accepts 15mm sleeve inserts, so I simply placed a female reducing elbow with a 15mm compression joint on the tube, plenty of PTFE and the jobs seems OK. The fittings on this cubicle really are cheap, in time I would like to replace them all with brass, the proof will be in the pudding and the shower goes into full time operation today, with three teenage kids in the house it should be fully commissioned by the weeks end.
Thanks for all the advice guys.
Regards Otto
