Hi, we moved into this house a year ago, on the survey it told us we would need to get new beams in the roof due to distortion, shown attached, however we have not had any problems in the year we have lived here and have been advised by others that it is probably due to the concrete tiles. Question is if the surveyor was just covering himself, or if as its a 150 year old house this distortion is normal and we may need to replace the tiles at some point. Thanks!

My brother had this. Concrete tiles replacing the lighter slate.
They had internal bracing done - not sure if they had the tiles taken off and refitted?
It is a common issue.

We're currently strapped for cash, do you know if it an urgent fix?

I’d hesitate to say “no” but if it was me I’d do it within a year? Maybe get a roofer in?
If the tiles have to come off, summer is a good time.

The survey doesn’t say “urgent” or anything similar, and I think it would if it actually were urgent. Put it high on the list of things to do when you do eventually have some cash. Maybe get a quote, so you know what you’re facing?
