It was a Labour government that chose to not implement transitional controls to restrict migration from the A8 countries that joined in 2004.

It does not matter what the political persuasion of the party in power, it was the UK government (of the day) that decided not to implement the controls that were at their disposal.
So the quitters blame the EU

It’s not a false argument. I voted out because we sit around an unfair table.
Eastern European country’s don’t take their fair share of asylum seekers considering they don’t have to contend with European migration on a scale we do.

But the powers that be thought we would dare not leave so we would have to put up and lump it.

If I am correct we had 36k asylum applications in the last recorded year. Something we have control over. If we didn't have cuts everywhere we could alleviate the backlog quicker.

As to EU migration again blame the Government for not enforcing controls which all EU countries can do.

So you want to blame someone, it's the Government. Sure the EU needs reform and if we are at the table we could argue that.

I do blame the EU I also blame governments past and present. Politicians who only have their interests. Big business that also care nothing about Immigrants or indigenous, just money.

The middle East is a very troubled area. Transforming that madness to our shores will cure nothing only spread the problem.

We need control not Open borders.

How about holding centres in say Turkey. Refugees get assessed then get placed equally to each European country. Anyone commiting a crime of a degree or are then found in another country other than a holiday should be deported back to where they come from.

environment : Never gave it a thought What would we do differently?

energy policy: ?? Never gave this a thought I expect My government to deal with this the best way they can.

human rights: I would hope this gets ripped up and re-written by people with common sense.

education: Classes are to packed Kids need more attention from their teachers

homebuilding: Our construction industry is in a complete mess. From top to bottom we lack Expertise and skilled tradesmen.
Chucking numbers of unskilled workers at it is not the answer.

worker protection: Can it get any worse than it is now?

tax: Would I be wrong to think we would not be taxing as normal?

subsidies to landowners: Never gave this a thought? But the powers that be I would hope will do the right thing.
