In recognition for my service to the country

Veterans badges on ebay are not the same thickness or even the same type of clasp. The ebay ones are generally a pin and clasp whereas the originals have a pin with safety clip. I have several from ebay so that I dont have to keep swapping it over to different hoodies, fleece etc.

Works for me and the veterans card proves my service is genuine.

Just for the record not that I have to clarify anything. I served in two separate units one was a 3 year stint. The last stint was 6 years but then that is my business why I did this

2009 actually
You said you did 9 years in the army and have been out for four years. Your sums don't work boyo.

I did 9 years in the army, do you think that we all just played pool or play cards all day?
Nice little touch from the MOD. Shows that they value me and all of the other Veterans who have served their country. Actually I have been out for 4 years now so would have thought I would have had this before now!!!

Luckily I don’t see his ridiculous comments but he won’t get much info out of me as my service is personal to me and my reasons for leave in which I took a few years before rejoining. However I couldn’t give a flying fook what he says.

God save the King indeed but I must admit I still call him Prince Charles by default until I correct myself or am corrected

Exactly. Tbh I cant see why anyone would buy a veterans badge unless they are a true veteran in which case you get one from the MOD so I cannot see how these could be available to just anyone. A bit of a kick in the teeth and an insult to us veterans. Even if you lose it you can get it replaced via the MOD

36 years, that's almost a lifetime, did you join up as a boy (teens)?.

Well done though, seems to be a career choice that's not so popular with the younger generation, I do wonder what will happen with all this talk of conscription.
