In recognition for my service to the country

I cant see why anyone would buy a veterans badge
Or feel the need to prove their military service, by showing it on here. However, I bet there are a few interested folk that would love to see your combat medal for your tour of Iraq.

36 years, that's almost a lifetime, did you join up as a boy (teens)?.

Well done though, seems to be a career choice that's not so popular with the younger generation, I do wonder what will happen with all this talk of conscription.
Joined straight from school at 16 as a Junior Electrical Mechanic with only Cinderella leave until I was 171/2 years of age when the 'Junior' dropped. I always had to excuse myself from the chicks in nightclubs before midnight with an excuse that I was 'On duty'.

Always amazed me how women were always attracted to sailors, we mainly got ignored whenever a ship was in a port. I did a bit down in portsmouth and Lympston in Devon were the marines were based, Didn't get a look in for some reason.

Its due to our natural charm and tall stories of sea monsters and jaunty sea shanties. ;)

Not challenging your service but this from mod site
Glad about that then. I have reasons about not telling when my service started and ended. Just know this. I am a military Veteran and I dont lie about such things as that is considered sacrilege to us who have served. I take my service extremely serious and have more respect for myself and for those who have served. Zero respect for anyone ridiculing a military service.

Correct. Proper truthful stuff.

Meanwhile..

So you joined the Army in 2009, managed to do 13 weeks basic training and a combat tour of Iraq all before April 2009? How did you manage that feat?
Last reply to you. I never said I joined in 2009. I said the military campaign was ended and troops were pulled out in 2009 you raving freak.

He claims to have done a combat tour of Iraq. Four years out of the army and nine years in means he was a raw recruit 2012.

Combat operations in Iraq ended in 2009. All troops were gone by 2011.

He also claims to have done a degree course at Hull university and passed his test in a Ford escort estate, whilst in the Army...?

funny how you jump to ridiculous conclusions, 2009 ground troops were pulled out barring a few RAF squadrons and a few non combat soldiers were left until 2011, I did do a University degree. Just not giving out any real details of my service for reasons of my own security. Knobs like you are not dangerous to me, however there are some psychos worse than you who are dangerous. Make of it what you will you little weed.
