When the machine is on spin cycle, there's a light metallic rattling coming from behind the front panel, about 150mm to 200mm up from the bottom right hand corner (as you face the front). I can also make the noise appear if I shake the drum slightly (when the machine is switched off and empty).
It sounds like a nut or screw coming loose, but without looking inside I can't tell. Other than the noise, everything works well. P.S. there's nothing in the filter.
Any suggestions on what it might be and if I can get at it to do a repair. We've had the machine about 6 or 7 years, so paying for a repair might not be worthwhile (I think my wife might prefer a new machine if that's the case).
