I've ordered a cooker and a splashback, and just been told the splashback is not availble until 5 days after the delivery and installation of cooker.

Spashback is a glass stick on type - can I just stick it on after cooker installed, or would it usually be installed first, a bit below top of cooker, and cooker butt against it? Having it resting on top would make sense if cooker is against the wall - hopefully it can go all the way back.

But what is best? Should I delay cooker delivery til I have the splashback?
Have been talking to the delivery people and they are not sure - said to ask a kitchen fitter!

Will be awkward to fit with oven in way, easy enough to pull out the cooker .
