Hello there.
I need to remove and replace two lintols above upstairs windows and was wondering if this could be done from inside, rather than using a scaffold. With access outside using ladders only to remove bricks and replace them afterwards.
Presumably Ill need to prop the ceiling internally and thus the roof joists and rafters to do this.
Is this a bad idea for DIY?

You will need a scaffold, how are you going to take the lintel out of the external leaf from inside.

Thanks for the reply. I was assuming I could remove the bricks on the o/s then those internally and pull into the room. But I'm just trying to visualise it at the moment.
