Hi folks;
If you are considering the above, don't fall into the frustrating trap I did...
During installation of ubuntu 10.10, you are asked to enter usernames & passwords. Little known to me (mostly because it did not warn you), you can't use CAPITALS. If you do, the "FORWARD" button remains greyed out and the install grinds to a halt.
Not sure if this tip applies to other free OS's. Maybe someone with more experience of these than I could post a comment.
