Hi

I'm thinking of insulating the outside wall off my property. It's a solid brick wall, so cavity is not an option. Also, I don't want to clad the outside in anything, which leaves the inside.

I don't want to add a stud section in front, so my only option is insulating plasterboard, which I realise isn't great, but presumably a worthwhile improvement on plain plaster?

Also - I've heard that dot and daubing sometimes causes audible draughts on outside, so wondering if there's another way to apply it, perhaps with something to fill the gap completely?

Thanks

Marcos

So long as you apply a continuous bead of dab to the board perimeter, as well as the usual internal blobs, then draughts will not be a problem.
