It starts and gives a code 7 and then 3 and then stops.

7 is hot water comfort, 3 is ventilation after it's fired. Press the tap button on the boiler to cycle between modes. If you want hot water comfort to be off, the LEDs above the tap need to be off

Thanks a lot muggles, just out of curiosity, what does the hot water comfort do and does it cost a lot.
I will try it tonight.

You should have had something through this morning....

Comfort mode looks at the last 2 or 3 days water usage and predicts based on that when to preheat the boiler ready for hot water. It costs a bit, but if you have regular usage patterns it could end up saving you long term.

the issue with your boiler though is that it is loosing the demand signal for hot water completely. You could have cross flow, faulty flow switch, faulty wiring loom, or even an issue with the solar diverters.

Is there another thread Dan? Sounds like the OPs only problem is not knowing about the preheat??
