intermittent problem with boot up

From Softus THE COMPUTER EXPERT
This site is supposed to be providing expert help,
What qualifications do you have as a computer expert?

Pleased to see that Softus THE EXPERT has narrowed it down to possibly any one of the four main components on the computer.

This symptom in an off-the-shelf PC invariably has a curable fault, and is likely to have arisen in one or more of the following components:

1. PSU
2. GPU
3. Motherboard
4. CPU.

the "try this random action" brigade should be barred from commenting on problems like this.

Advice from Softus:
your only realistic hope of finding the faulty component quickly is to substitute with known good ones until it works.

Does that mean "Try this bit first then try this bit next"?

I think that makes you a member of the "try this random action" brigade too!

I don’t know what your problem is, but I bet it is hard to pronounce.

I can't think of a single thing that makes the answer to that question any of your business.

Very much not, since (a) he clearly has none (or nearly none) of those components to hand, and (b) I didn't suggest replacing anything except the PSU, and only then if he has one to hand.

I think that makes you a member of the "try this random action" brigade too!
Fortunately for the rest of us, your opinion has no relevance or consequence.
