INTERMITTENT TRIPPING

HELLO ALL,

i have 7 florescent T5 Recessed Modular - High Frequency fittings on a ten amp MCB via distribution board and every now ang again the MCB trips and it takes a couple of attempts to re set it, any one know what the problem could be?

Current draw?

You could try jointing out each fitting in turn to see if there's one with dodgy HF gear that's popping the breaker.

How may tubes per fitting and how many watts per tube?

7 fittings with four tubes per fitting @ 15w per tube, cant isolate one by one its intermittent tripping

Why can't you isolate each one in turn?

because the tripping is intermittent isolating eact fitting one by one could take time, some times it can be a week before the breaker trips

Does it trip when the lights are first switched on or is it randomly when the lights have been on for a while ?
Are all the lights switched together ?

yes all the lights are switched together and it just randomly trips could be 2 days or one week
