This may seem like a bone question but is it safe to use loft insulation to insulate an internal wall? I am planning to insulate a new stud wall and floor and wondering if it is safe?

It will be fine - you could find slab insulation to be easier to fit though....its the same stuff but compressed more. Available through the usual outlets.
John :)

Trust me Bainzy.. Go for the slab stuff Celotex/Kingspan/Xtratherm having done it both ways, I found the slabs much easier to work with.

No itching for days afterwards either!!

i find more problems with board insulation,it gets in my throat and makes me cough my guts up. whereas the quilt doesnt make me itch much at all.
you could try the cavity batt type.
