Does an inverted ASHP need a buffer tank when used with UFH??

Ask the manufacturer. Probably not if the UFH is in concrete screed, probably yes otherwise.

Nee how ma?

By the way its an inverter controlled ASHP and not an upside down one!

The idea of the buffer tank is so that the ashp can build up a store
of heat ready for delivery.
Like starting at 4am for the central heating coming on at 6am.
There is a quantity of hot water that in cold conditions when the heat
pump is down on power can help to smooth out the peak demands
of the day.

So in my mind the inverter ashp will perform better when just ticking
over keeping the building warm in lower demand times.

I have a Daikin air con unit that is an inverter and it certainly works more
smoothly than my other on off cheap chinese unit.

Yeah, my English is as good as my mandarin Tony.
I guess it would be inverted in Oz though?
