What's wrong with it? to marry means to form a union based on the local laws or customs, and it doesn't describe the sexuality of the people involved. If you can't marry because you take part in 4n4l sex, then that rules out a third of man/woman marriages... !!

As for adoption.... that's a different kettle of poisson!!

They already have a civil partnership for people of those tendencies. Seems to me these LGBT's are never bloody satisfied. They're certainly not satisfied unless they are ramming gay issues (ooer missus) down our throats these days. Just watch any of the soaps. I don't want to watch two blokes kissing each other at 7 o clock of an evening,,, and I certainly don't want to watch two women going at it (unless the missus has fooked off to bingo)

Marriage by definition is between two opposite sex persons, so when it is between two same sex persons, it simply should not be called a marrige, it should be given a different or a new name but not the word "Marriage" so may be they should come up with a new word which then does not offend the majority who are born without a defcetive brain!

It's only a word at the end of the day, wether it's called marriage or civil partnership it all adds up to the same.
I read a piece in the local paper this week that made a good point. It is preposed that gay marriage doesn't need to be consumated (probably from the church saying a priest can be gay but not have sex) and as a result adultery wouldn't be considered grounds for divorce. That in itsself seems to me to be merely replacing one discrimination with another rather than trying to creat a level playing field.
