Hi - I need a switch plate which can operate a light with extractor and also other lights with dimmer function. I know that the fan cannot be attached to a dimmer but I'd ideally like only one switch plate with one of each type on. Any idea if these are available and where I might be able to get one?
Thanks

Thanks Andrew1210 and EdwardCurrent. Have looked at these but confess to finding them a bit 'industrial' looking. Was really hoping to find something a bit more sleek.

They are available in white.

In fact I think they also do chrome and brass finishes too.

Thanks Steve - do you mean they are available in white/chrome NOT as a grid system? If so, do you know where I might buy??

You can buy dummy dimmer modules, they look like a dimmer but is a push on push off switch.

You then buy a two gang dimmer in the style you like.
Then remove one of the dimmers and fit your switch module.

I've done what you want in our nursery, MK grid array with a dimmer for the uplighter and the main ceiling light/fan on a normal switch...

Without waking little 40 watt this is the best piccy I have...

Thanks for the pic 40 Watt Spark. I think the MK grid is the best looking so far - thanks to those who suggested - I think this is the way to go.

Thanks again!

If you really want something sleek, you could buy a flat-plate two gang dimmer (assuming your back box is deep enough) and replace one dimmer module with a unit that looks like a dimmer but is only a switch. This way, you get one switch and a dimmer on the same sleek plate without it looking industrial.

Edit: oops  already suggested....where's my coat?
