Hi all,

Hope you can help - I need to fix a leaky tap but need to isolate the water to the tap first. Directly underneath the sink are a pair of what look like stop valves just below the flexible hoses, one for hot and one for cold. Is this a stop valve? I've not seen this design before - it looks like a stop cock but without the actual handle and in its place a hex cap nut on. Is this actually rotatable to shut off the water, or is this not a valve at all?

Many thanks,
Nigel.
