I was told some years ago for me to get Solar panels I need to have an RCD board. I can see RCD text on the fuse box but wanted to be sure if its compatible with the latest regs. Image attached.
It has an RCD, but it's a type which is obsolete and hasn't been made for 30+ years.
Regardless of that, no solar could be connected to it, as the RCD covers multiple circuits.
If a solar installation requires an RCD, that RCD must be for the solar only, nothing else.
That consumer unit might have a spare way on the non-RCD side (would be #4 on the red label), but the circuit breakers for that are also obsolete.
