I want to replace an old fluorescent light fitting with the following :-

Does this allow the wire to come in at the centre of the light, or is the connection at the end .. if at the end, this will be no good, as the wire in the ceiling is in the centre of the room.
An electrician will be fitting it for me on Friday, so I need to buty it tomorrow, or something more suitable (for a kitchen)
