Is this isolating valve suitable for toilet feed - picture

Hi there,

I cannot find a reference to the symbol found on the isolating valve at one end of the flexible feed pipe to my toilet. The toilet is mains fed. Is the isolating valve suitable for the WC and what is it called.

That looks like a flexible tap connector with and in line isolation valve, which is fine on your toilet cistern.
