Israel..wouldn't we do the same?

I take it then that these supposed humanitarians have that little respect for life they felt justified in using violence against armed soldiers?
This shows how humanitarian they really are and also a complete lack of brainpower. "Ohh that soldier has a gun ! Lets attack him and see what happens."
Commandos/ Cowards?
The Israeli's have more guts than the people who keep firing rockets and missiles over the border, then hide amongst civilians.

Humanitarians. Don't make me laugh.

lets look at this from the boardee's perspective..

you're sailing along minding your own business when a group of heavily armed people who you don't recognise as having any authority to do so start to climb on board your boat.. that's piracy last time I heard..

would you defend yourself from the threat or let them storm aboard and detain you for no reason that you know of?

or a more local analogy..

you've been to the supermarket and have just got back home..
your neighbour comes out and says " I think you might have some charcoal in there and you keep getting my washing all smokey with these mid week barbeques, let me look.."
you tell him to bugger off it's none of his business and he then breaks into your car to start rummaging round in your shopping to look for steaks and charcoal briquetts....
do you ignore it or fight back?

Who attacked who first?. - you seem (just like many apologists of the Israeli state) to have left that teeny weeny fact out of it... ;)

The soldiers were the ones armed with GUNS, and the people were just defending themselves against an illegal aggression in INTERNATIONAL waters....

But then I guess you think that 'humanitarian' can't live alongside defending yourself, the same way as armed (as in firearms) soldiers taking on unarmed civilians is unacceptable in INTERNATIONAL waters...

The Israeli's have more guts than the people who keep firing rockets and missiles over the border, then hide amongst civilians.
The same 'gutsy' people who use rocket attacks and outlawed chemical weapons against the other civilian population? the same gutsy people who have been caught using arab human shields and bulldozed people alive in their houses?

Yeah right....

btw, what was the death toll of the last gaza invasion...oh yeah, 1400 palestinians and 13 Israeli's!

Both sides have at times been at fault, but presently the state of Israel is in the wrong. They've been allowed to get away with murder too long, and are just as much terrorists as members of certain paelestinian groups...

Ok, firstly, No, Cyprus wanted nothing to do with the flotilla and said so, it carried out no formal checks.
The flottila was contacted NUMEROUS times, and asked to divert to a Israeli port where any non offensive items would be delivered to Gaza through existing routes. They turned this offer down atleast twice.

They were warned that they were going to be boarded. It wasn't a sudden attack. They knew hours in advance.
They attacked soldiers defending an internationally known blockade with knives, metal bars and pistols.

If they wanted to just deliver aid they would have complied with the Israeli forces who were just trying to keep their citizens safe from repeated attacks by weapons smuggled in.

They were out for blood, and got it, mainly their own.

Where are you all sourcing this factually correct and unbiased information from?

Do these sources actually provide details of what was actually found on board the vessel(s)?

But you said NEUTRAL country...How is Israel neutral? If a 'neutral' country had said it was ok (as they did), then your justification for the boarding is null and void!

And what is 'non-offensive'? Cement to rebuild the houses/schools/hospitals destroyed by Israel? - that's on the 'banned' list, along with chocolate and nappies!

Internationally known, but not internationally acknowledged - there is a difference you know...

And the attack was in INTERNATIONAL waters - what is it about this fact that ciontinually gets ignored by apologists?

And what 'pistols'? Please tell us...

Yeah, Israel specialises in spilling innocent civilian blood disproportionately - other country's civilian blood that is... ;)

But the real question has to be...how does this act of piracy/terrorism help the overall situation?

That's a racist remark and should be reported to the moderators. ;)
I was referring to a nomadic tribe of people, in a non derogatory manner. If the moderators feel this is inappropriate and remove it, then I am more than happy to accept that decision. To that end, I have alerted the moderators and asked them to look into the matter. :)

What part? The bit where they were offered to deliver the goods to Israel for inspection and then be passed on to Gaza? http://www.haaretz.com/news/diploma...nload-cargo-in-ashdod-for-inspection-1.292560

is a start...

The rest is hearsay of course, but the fact that some soldiers have been stabbed, while the people on the ship are claiming they had no knives, is a bit telling don't you think?

Not entirely convinced that that source is unbiased, to be honest

However, did they actually find weapons etc?

Ellal, it would seem you are an extremist and I don't waste my time talking with creationists or extremists. Not because I can't win debates, but because they aren't smart enough to know they lost.

Couple of last points.
1) the pistols taken off the security forces beaten with poles and stabbed, and some thrown 30ft to lower decks (all on film so do not try and deny that).
2) the repeated missle attacks. If you don't know about them, perhaps you shouldn't be speaking on the subject. They were the cause of a war for christ sake...not exactly secret.
3) When you are defending the HAMAS ruled region while calling security guards acting in self defence as murderers you show yourself up to how twisted your logic is straight away.

yeah, must have been the cheese wedges that caused the stab wounds on the soldiers.

this is abusive and I'm reporting it to the moderators

Do ships not carry any knives at all then? Not for cutting food for example? Also, is it not possible that some of the knives were taken from the soldiers?
