Is it possible for the pilot light to be turned down at all.

In this hot weather i was able to run a full bath of really hot water fuelled only by the pilot light. This happens over winter too although not so hot.

I figure its costing a lot of money over the year to fuel this.
or am i being silly,
We shower and have a dishwasher to i really dont need this hot water.

But of course it won't be the warm air unit causing your problem, but the circulator attached to it.Still needs a qualified engineer.

The Engineer will need CCN1 and WAT 1 to work on your water heater, it sounds like the gas valve may be letting by and passing a small amount of gas to the main burner at all times

So

ACS qualifation DAH1 or/and CCN1 WAT1 ?

Sorry to sound a bit dim, can it either of these.

To work on the Warm air heater CCN1 + DAH1
To work on the Water Heater CCN1 + WAT1
To Work on both CCN1 +DAH1 +WAT1

OK

Wow, I didnt realise it was going to be so complicated.

Anyone know anyone in the North Yrkshire area so qualified.

And thanks to all, by the way, for your input.

Just ask if they have DAH1(it will be on the back of their card) if they have, you're in business.

Thank you all for your input.

The plumber who is coming to fit me a new bathroom isnt qualifeid for
warm air doings but a plumber mate is and he is sorting me out on Monday.

Thanks again.

I took the DAH 1 about six months ago and I am still waiting for my first warm air job through the gas-safe register.

We seem to be few and far between us warm air owners but i think its absolutely brilliant.

Instant warmth, instantly controllable.
I think the original boiler was about 20 years old when it died and we decided to go with the same.

Have you tried registering with Johnson & Starley so that you are on their list for recommending to people who enquire about plumbers, I belive they have a list which you might just get some work from.
