Hi, I have a socket that feeds another three on the same wall (the ring main has been extended from this). My new cooker will obstruct this socket. I propose to put plastic connectors (know as chocolate blocks?) behind the blank inside the existing metal box. Is this acceptable? Is this safe?

aslong as there accessable then fine. but why not just leave the socket?

To tell the truth 75% of the socket will be covered so I am moving the whole box 1.5 inches, so I thought i'd tidy it up at the same time ... thanks
