Just wondering ..

Does the adhesive need to be heat resistant? I was hoping to use some of the adhesive left over from doing the bathroom.

Secondly, if I am to remove the metal splash back above the hob how far up the wall do I tile considering there is no overhead wall unit to tile up to ?

Many thanks for any help

No, use whatever adhesive you have.

Tile up to level with any wall units to left or right of the hob position.
Or, tile up to any height that suits you.
Or, if a hood extractor is in position then tile up to the extractor.

Note: pre-paint before tiling and then simply touch up.

What tile trim do I use in a kitchen ? Straight edge or round edge? Aluminum or plastic ? I assume it's down to personal preference ?
