Leak from toilet cistern

Hi,
There is a leak from a plastic pipe underneath my toiler cistern. Can anybody please advise how I can best resolve this?

Is it leaking between the plastic fitting and the ceramic?
If so then I'd get a new coupling and bed it through the ceramic with silicon sealant..the ceramic surface is often too rough for a washer to provide an adequate seal.
Leave it overnight to go off..use a bucket to flush the pan.

Your float valve is overflowing into an overflow that is not there. Post a picture from above looking into the cistern.
