Learning Control Wiring

Some years ago, when I was doing my C&G plumbing at college, the lecturer was discussing Y, W and S plans.

I thought I would be clever, and ask him about G plan systems (as in the furniture name).

It back-fired on me. Turns out there was such a system, though now probably as rare as hen's teeth.

Are there any G plan systems out there?

Can you remember any books from them days that as a learner you could easily follow, regarding S and Y.

I now can tell the diff now
But just cant grasp the wiring,

Still cant suss either how to tell the heating and water pipes apart.

think g plan is same idea as an s plan. you never know what pops up, got one the other day old twin pump system nice to know these are being brought back in in domestic dwellings but dont think they will faze out the motorised valves.

No, the g and s plan is different.

When you say that you found an old system with twin pumps, that is actually a G plan. Now quite rare.
