Light switch circuit

Hi I open my front door and have a 2 gang light switch one switch controls the light at the door the second the light at the top hall. Top hall has a one gang light switch that controls the top hall only. Now I am lowering my ceilings and can access the lights top and bottom so anyway to fit a 2 gang upstairs to do top and bottom lights ?

Yes. You'll need to run a 3 core and earth cable from the new upstairs 2 gang switch to the downstairs one.

Okay, well no access to the bottom light switch atm, but will investigate if I can drop from the ceiling above 5he switch to it.
