Hi, I'm replacing a light in a downstairs toilet which also runs a small extractor fan, there was a sensor switch there and I want to replace it with a pull cord,
The old sensor has 3 wires as seen in photo 1 with SL, N, L, ( the SL has a brown sleeve over black wire and the N has a blue sleeve over a gray wire )The new pull cord switch has 3 connections which are L1, L2, COM.
Is this the right switch to use, if so could someone tell me which wire goes in to which port on the new pull switch.
Many thanks for any much needed help.

Brown.....com

Black .........L1 or L2

Grey not used, put it in a separate connector block.

I was going to ask why it had both a switched live and perm. A quick google suggests that it is so that the sensor can be overridden by flicking the lights off and on.

Thank you for the advice Pete01, tried it and it works perfectly, not sure if there was another way but Pete01 advice works perfectly.
Many thanks

Surely all switches have a permanent live (or equivalent) and a switched live.

Yeah, I didn't think that one through. Even it it were a stand alone PIR, it would need a switched live out to run to the light fittings and extractor.

My bad.

Thanks for correcting me.

In my head, I was thinking of my PIR based extractor fan. I didn't bother with the switched live and only used the perm live and neutral.
