Limiting shed rot idea

Hi all,

The previous owner of my house built the shed right next to the neighbours brick wall - I guess assuming that it would offer the shed some protection.

However, over the years debris has fallen down the small gap between shed and wall and when it rains the water soaks into the debris and eventually the shed.

There are signs of rotting and there's not really much can do to replace the wood so was considering filling the gap with expanding foam, sanding so its got a bit of a gradient and then topping off with an external sealent.

Does this seem like a crazy idea? I'm open to any suggestions - clearing out the debris is pretty difficult due to access restraints.

I already installed some guttering but that has only partially helped.

expanding foam is unsuitable, it holds damp

Is there a gutter to prevent rainwater running off the shed roof into the gap?

Cut in a piece of ply and wrap in flashing tape to keep it water proof.

Thanks all, someone else suggested treated timber to fill the gap and then flashband to seal it. Think its prob the best option

just make sure what ever you do its set up so any water running down the face is directed out rather than sit on top or get behind the repair
