Just working out a bathroom which I'll be doing all the tiling combined with some decent quality laminate flooring. Just looking for some opinions on what might be the best way to finish the edges? I'd like to the flooring first to the wall edge, leaving the 10mm gap, then tile down above onto the board.

Now, if I then used a silicone of some sort to join between the two would that then restrict the chance of the board's normal expansion/movement? I don't really like the appearance of tiles onto skirting so don't want to use it if possible (or the laminate effect beading) but obviously don't want to have trouble with the laminate lifting a few months down the line.
