little bump in the car..

Funnily enough, a colleague was telling me about his experience yesterday. He knocked someone else's wing mirror off, so rang his insurers to find out what it would do to his premium. As his excess was a few hundred pounds anyway, he decided to pay for the repairs himself.

When it came to renewal time, his insurance quote was about £200 more than the previous year. So, he rung them up to find out why, and it was because he had a claim on his insurance... a claim for £0 and a loss of NCB. They refused to remove this claim, even though it was zero-valued.

If you tell your insurance you've had a prang, even if you don't actually claim, they will record details and it will affect your premium. :!:
