I know last house two radiators were in series. Reason was one was a fan assisted. But that resulted in the non fan assisted having both valves fully open.
I found mothers old house, balancing was not as easy as expected, with two sensors one on each pipe and a meter showing difference. I am sure easy enough, but I could not find it.
So I closed the lock sheld completely and opened until one pipe got warm, then did next, and it worked of sorts, but not spot on.
So I got electronic TRV heads, these showed target and current, this made it easy, if current exceeds target close a tad. And after that the rooms were spot on.
