Hi, I am new to this forum so thanks in advance to anyone who can help me so soon.
I have a small terraced house with a large front bedroom, small back bedroom and a good sized loft. I want to convert the loft but I am worried about losing space in the front bedroom, or all the back bedroom, in providing the base for the loft stairs. Can anyone suggest the amount of floor space I need for this please?
The front bedrom is about 14 feet by 11 feet. Ideally I would like to give up a corner of that room, putting some stud walls around the loft stairs. I have heard spiral staircases can actually take up more floor space at the base than some other types of stairs. Is that right?
Thanks again
