Are you serious?The "problem' is that murder, knife crime and other serious crime is so rare in the UK
It would be if you run the understanding department.that trying to understand if it's going up or not is impossible without looking at statistics.
Have you got a statistics APP?Normally people don't wait for statistics to have an opinion, they listen to friends, YouTube or Facebook and trust them without checking.
Your STEM seems to be pointing south.The real problem comes when people are faced with information that challenges their already set opinion. Most of the time they ignore it rather than asking if their opinion was right in the first place. This is true for everyone but even more true for people with lower levels of education (ie no STEM degree).
