lookiing for a hill

i am lookig for a hill within 20 miles of newcastle

either on road or off preferably on the road and longggggggg and steeeeppp

doing me some tests on a recumbent bicycle i made ( feet forward bicycle )

and need to know how fast it wil actually go top end

i have the west road but its bumpy and potholed now so not the safest to do 50 + on a bike

lobly hill bank just off the A1. pretty steep, but also very busy at times. shibdon and blaydon bank, again, pretty steep, but a few corners, should get a good run from shibon bank tho
 
It is all downhill from the fog on the Tyne isn't it ?

slogger! surely your not afraid of a few potholes? it'll make it more exciting :lol:
 
How about Sutton Bank near Thirsk on the Thirsh to Scarbrough Rd thats steep!!!!
 
or maybe a parachute jump. thatll test the speed to the max and there wont be any bumps on the way down (until you get down...)

nice hill and with a speed camers to chech your actually trying :lol:
 
there's a nice big hill round my way slogger and it ends up on a busy dual carriageway so you'll be able to test how efficient your brakes are or not :wink:
