Letby, 35, is serving 15 whole-life orders after being found guilty of murdering seven children and attempting to murder seven more between June 2015 and June 2016. Letby's lawyers are claiming there is "overwhelming and compelling evidence" that her convictions are unsafe.
So were those people convicted over 'shaken baby syndrome'...
Until their convictions were overturned due to questionable medical evidence/opinions...
There's an awful lot of knowledgeable people who disagree with the medical evidence/opinions in her case.
The timing of this announcement is a bit 'odd' given the recent arrests of three of her bosses...
Whatever the truth is, the system does everything it can to avoid admitting a mistake!

It's unbelievable, a potentially floored prosecution case, an even worse defense case, managers who ignored stuff for years, now being investigated/arrested, a seemingly respectable bunch of experts calling out the prosecution, the police adding further chargers to what may have been a floored investigation in the first place, the CCRC that's not fit for service, what a bloody disgrace.
That is merely your view, based on Media output.

No. Drink driving offences require no proof of intent. Gross negligence manslaughter would likely fail if there is other criminal activity. There has to be more to these potential charges.

Irrelevant, only in trial, would all the facts accurately emerge, not in some ill informed, half baked forum.
You dismiss anything “in the media”, yet the media is how the general public hear about miscarriages of justice.
We wouldn’t know about the Post Office scandal, the infected blood scandal, the grooming gangs……without the media.
When you talk about “the media” that includes investigative journalism which over the years has uncovered lots of scandals.
Is that true though?
It’s not unknown for trials to be flawed.
I see 3 of the managers at that hospital have been arrested.
We also know that whistleblowers in the NHS are silenced.
CCRC has totally failed people, it’s not fit for purpose.
Appeals take a ridiculous time whilst people sit in jail.
I have not seen an official review report following an enquiry. Have you?
