Made a wine shelf

We make some of our own wine. I made a shelf for storing bottles.

Impressive! Only bottles sealed with proper corks, need to be stored flat down, ordinary screw tops and the clip topped ones are fine sat vertically.

Yes, normally the bottles should point slightly downwards to keep the cork moist. But as noted this is only relevant for naturally corked bottles, which aren't that common anymore.

Not always, even premium wines use other closures. You can almost guarantee a natural cork if you buy Portuguese wine, unsurprisingly.
