Hello all, Great site by the way.
I wish to add 5x Halogen Mains Voltage Downlighters to my bedroom.
I wish to keep the original light, but controlled independently.
So far i have changed the switch for a two gang dimmable one and dropped a new wire down to it for the downlighters.
What is the best way to go about connecting these lights? Any diagrams appreciated.
I have a Loop-in set up.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Breezer

But which diagram am I meant to be looking at exactly?
I take it from the crappy instructions on the box that each light gets a single cable from a junction box and terminates there.

follow the same diagrams as for normal ceiling lights but use a junction box in place of the rose

Take a permanent live, neutral & earth feed from existing rose or JB. terminate in a new JB, with switch wire and live feed to switch, and switched feed and neutral to lighting (plus earths of course). Then you can loop from one light to the other supplying each transformer along the way.

Use a small 4 t JB or "chocbox" (plastic box into which you can fit a term strip)
