after some discussion and thoughts, im gonna have major surdery on tuesday, its a necessity i feel.

after 5 children and not needing any more, ( i think i got enough now to do all jobs around the house etc) im gonna have the snip.

i got my letter from the docs, and found out that not only is it being done at a health center, i even have to shave myself that day, lazy buggers!!! although im not sure me being clean shaven is going to help them chop me up easier

anyways, if i dont post after tuesday some polish/somalian/persian gp has sliced me up properly and done his country proud by doing in the English infidel

im a real scardy cat

you call that major?

how big do you think your *******s are?

To him, it's major, especially if he's not had an op of any kind before.

dont worry.

oh and its not one snip, its two. slices and two snips.

make sure some one is with you to take you home. if the local anesthectic was like mine you will feel so tired afterwards, think i slept for 24 hours afterwards, you may not be able to drive through tiredness, not pain.

several of us on here have had it done.. try a search

really is nothing to worry about

but you have the worst to come. you have to take 2 samples in to have them counted, thats worse than the op (embarasssment)

The only time to worry, is when you wake up from the operation, and they have changed the name on your notes from jefoss to Jessica.......

I remember handing mine in and the old battle axe on the desk held it in the air and shook it in front of the waiting room. I wouldn't really have minded but most of it went on the bathroom floor at home so the container was nearly empty.

maybe you could put your sample jar in a bucket, and when she asks for it, hold up the bucket...

If they insist that you bring in TWO samples then why do they need to count them, there's two isnt there?

You didn't say whether it went that way before or after the bottle position. Gave it some extra exit oomph looking at yourself in the mirror, did it?

Have they stopped using the method with the club hammer and chisels?

I got mine done on a local many years ago. The worst bit, which I suppose was unavoidable, was when the local went in.   The second worst bit was when the surgeon sprayed some sort of artificial skin over the finished job.

You won't want to try driving home again. In fact you won't want to make any sudden hip movements for the rest of the day! The next problem is that you can't have a bath for several days because, if you do, your stitches will fall out. :!: :!: :!:

After a day or two, if you follow all the instructions they give you, you'll be up and about again. I went back to work on the third day. I did hear about somebody who ignored all the instructions and spent the first night propping the bar up at the pub. The dozy prat spent the next two weeks flat on his back!

The samples were a problem for the simple reason that the tubes were too small. If you've never tried it, aiming into an undersized opening isn't particularly easy! :? :? :?

But don't let all that put you off. It'll be well worth it in the long run. :P :P :P

Worst bit for me, was being stood in front of an attractive nurse with these stupid Union Jack boxer shorts on. Not my usual attire but I'd been advised to wear loose fitting garments and they were all I had. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
