Not the right person for that moment, unfortunately.

I can imagine more than one undertrained Security guard didn't do his job right that night.

But that is why we should all ask questions first.

The security guards at the Bataclan were all Mohameds.

He was approached by a member of the public who said the bomber looked shifty or words to that affect
Apparently they presumed he was a ticket tout - or a street seller for rip-off tour t-shirts etc.

You think there would have been a requirement for more than one security guard on the door on a show night.

What amount would it take to make it worthwhile £15 £20 £50,money in this sitiuation is irrelevant, all it would take is a phone or radio call to alert the police.
See trazor's reply...

"Exactly, so why are security firms employing youngsters when experience is needed."

Experience that would have probably led to that person doing as you say (although it would probably have been too late to get plod on the scene), but experience comes with age and that increased age costs more...

Businesses always put profit before people!

Training takes time and costs money and there is value in experience but again it costs. If I recall correctly the only terror training the guard had was a 20 minute module which he completed in 11 minutes.

Paying the guy double would not suddenly make him a better guard - it may attract a person with more experience or the money could be spent on more rigorous training?

Very VERY difficult to stop random terror acts, no matter how much training and guards you have.

Surely a town like Manchester has some sort of agency hiring out door staff.
Door staff who are invariably experienced and trained.
