haha can you imagine!I went to a talk once about the IOT. There'd been a recent story in the news of two babies getting accidentally swapped at the hospital, and the speaker said hey - why not have a system where newborns had an RFID chip implanted immediately after birth. Parents would see it happen and there'd be no more swapping accidents.
The "yeah, great idea" initial reaction in the audience lasted about 2s before the "no, wait, hang on a minute" reaction took over.
i am a strong advocate for home births (as well as home schooling, etc). babies don't get swapped at home either.
hospitals can't be trust with babies (or healthcare for that matter). a friend of mine had his baby taken from him as soon as he was born and they stuck a needle in him with no warning. by the time my friend got to stop them it was done. his child is now into his teens and has had seizures his whole life. was it the cause? who knows! but nobody with the means to generate evidence is going to be motivated to do it, that much we do know.
