Age of population has a lot to do with the death rate. I was speaking to an Indian couple yesterday and they were telling me that things are not nearly as bad in India as they are here. He said the cities and towns there are rammed, often shoulder to shoulder.
Unfortunately in just over a month, it’s gone rampant. I’m just watching it in the news. Absolutely horrific scenes in the hospitals. :(

Not looking good in the UK either, not a holiday cottage or B&B to be had :(

Yeah, everything booked up. I managed to get 2 nights on a campsite in June with friends, was lucky as the owners only took over the business this year and started taking bookings in March. Wanted to go glamping but nothing anywhere we wanted to go.

Might be a while before we have normal holidays abroad, could be a year or two of people rebuilding their holiday businesses before we're at full capacity.

Indeed, wanted to book a place in the lakes for a few days later in the year. Nowhere is taking bookings for the foreseeable.

Well, I may strike it lucky. I have a 5* hotel booked in Jersey in July for Mrs Motties big birthday. Cant say which, but it rhymes with twixty. From what I’m hearing, you’d be paying similar for a 3* one at the moment and that’s if you can find anywhere! Fingers crossed Jersey is open to U.K. tourists by then. Also, I’ve rebooked our cancelled Peak District new year holiday for 10 of us and because we left the place spotless the year before last (owner said you’d never had known we had 10 dogs with us) the owner charged us £100 less than last year.

Couple of years ago I inherited a small field which I let out to a farmer to graze his sheep. Planning to dust off the tent and have a couple of breaks there, poss with friends if the weather is ok. Holidaying in UK is out, otherwise. Prefer not to be surrounded by hordes of Brits on holiday. Then if you've paid a couple of grand for a week in a crummy B&B, the weather will be lashing down and everything will be a rip off. Then there's the day spent on the M5 to get there, and another day on it to get home................

I have a motorhome and 1 pitch booked for the end of May. We shall book some more once we check out the situation. Don't care where we go and self sufficient so will find somewhere that suits.

Meant to be going to Seville early Oct. (damn hot, even then) What are the chances??? Good I hope. Not sure about the main summer holiday though, seeing how things pan out.

I'm going on an on/off road motorcycling trip in the mountains near Malaga in November. Just be the right temperatures for riding a bike with all the gear on. :)

I reckon pretty good, Covid wise.

Germany, France, Spain are now reaching decent Daily vaccine rates, I think most of Europe will get most of its adult population vaccinated by summer.

The only thing Inwould say is Oct is likely to be the starting point for a winter wave here, but it will seem more like a flu outbreak than any of the recent waves.

I've not been to the South of Spain really - only been to San Sebastián, Barcelona, Valencia, Alicante, Zaragoza. Inland in central Spain the terrain is just like a spagetti western....flat as a pancake with rocky outcrops.

My mate lives around there Mottie, near Lake Venuella (spelt incorrectly!)
