A more accurate observation would be that his egregiously incompetent way of opposing her made her job easier.

The reason coal mining disappeared was because it was cheaper to bring coal in from abroad.
The company which supplies coal to power stations in N.Ireland owns a coal mine in S.America .
Whether coal or human Labour it is cheaper to import from abroad.
That's what you get when you vote for certain politicians.
