Hi - I have an unvented system that needs the air supply replenishing - fairly straightforward except whilst trying to turn off the mains supply to the cylinder (directly) the screw head snapped off. Question is - do you think it is safe for me to try and drill out the screw and replace it OR as it's a pressurised system etc. shoud I get a pro in?

Or can I just turn off the water at the mains downstairs and just release the value as per the instructions?

Thanks!

You could just turn off the mains downstairs, ultimately it would be a good idea to get the valve replaced though. UV cylinders should be serviced annually so if yours hasn't been done you might want to get someone in (apart from anything else some manufacturers may use non-servicing as a reason to get out of any warranty claim)
